My friend Karen started a discussion on her wonderful blog about the books that we, as “well read people,” often don’t want to admit to not having read. My blog started as an extension of this project, so I will be writing posts about some authors that I haven’t read but am now eager to try.
And I would highly recommend any traffic that I get on this blog to visit her site, because she creates great discussions about horror movies and all sorts of goodness. Trust her, she’s got good taste. While you’re there, you might as well check out her photography. She’s wonderful with a lens and she has described some of her work as being “creepy doll shit”. If that isn’t enticing, then I don’t know what is.
I will be posting my thoughts about the following books:
- A Doll’s House, by Henrik Ibsen
- The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank
- The Man in the High Castle, by Philip K. Dick
- The Big Sleep, by Raymond Chandler
- Wise Blood, by Flannery O’Connor
Feel free to comment and please join in if you’re a reader with a shelf of unread books. Or, better yet, if you have a stack that doesn’t fit on your full-up bookcase. We’d be happy to have you.
